Sunglasses Fitting Guide

For years, people have been told to choose sunglasses based on face shapes like heart, diamond, triangle, rectangle, and more. But what does it really mean to have a "heart-shaped" face? These categories are vague and often unhelpful when it comes to finding a truly flattering pair of sunglasses.

The key to finding the right sunglasses is choosing a pair that balances your facial features. Symmetry means your features are evenly distributed. Balance ensures no feature, like your forehead or chin, is overly emphasized. Frames that are too narrow can make your face look disproportional. The right frames will bring harmony, enhancing your natural look with comfort and style.

Instead of relying on outdated myths about face shapes, it's much more effective to focus on precise measurements like face width, face length, and bridge width. These factors, combined with an understanding of your facial features, will give you a far better idea of what frames will suit you best.

Here’s how to get the right fit:

Face Width:

  • Measure across your face from temple to temple to find your face width.
  • Match the frame width of the sunglasses to your face width for a comfortable, balanced fit.
  • Proper fit ensures both stability and symmetry.

  • Frame Width Size Guide

    Size Face Width Frame Width
    NARROW 115mm - 127mm 112mm - 130mm
    MEDIUM 128mm - 150mm 125mm - 150mm
    WIDE 150mm - 155mm 145mm - 160mm

    Face Length:

  • Measure from the top of your forehead to the bottom of your chin to find your face length.
  • If your face length is more than 1.5 times the width, taller frames will suit your face better than shorter ones.

  • Frame Hight Size Guide

    Size Face Length Frame Height
    SHORT < Face Width x 1.3 <40mm
    MEDIUM = Face Width x 1.3 - 1.5 35mm - 55mm
    TALL > Face Width x 1.5 >50mm

    Bridge Width:

  • The bridge width is the distance between your eyes and the height difference between your cheekbones and nose.
  • A smaller bridge width keeps the lenses further from your face.
  • A larger bridge width brings the lenses closer to your face.
  • Choosing the right bridge width ensures both comfort and a proper fit for your facial structure.

    Narrow <18mm
    Wide >19mm

    Facial Features:

  • Your face may have soft, rounded lines or sharper, angular features.
  • Angular frames can create contrast and balance for softer features.
  • Rounder frames help soften more defined or angular faces.
  • The goal is to choose frames that enhance your overall balance without overemphasizing any feature.
    1. Eyewear Frame Measurement

      Frame Width:

      • Definition: The horizontal distance from one side of the frame to the other.
      • Fit: The frame width should match your face width (measured temple to temple) for a comfortable and stable fit. A well-proportioned width enhances both stability and balance.

      Frame Height:

      • Definition: The vertical measurement of the lenses, from top to bottom.
      • Fit: Frame height should align with your face length (from forehead to chin). Taller frames suit longer faces, while shorter frames complement shorter face lengths, ensuring overall visual harmony.

      Bridge Width:

      • Definition: The distance between the lenses that rests on the nose.
      • Fit: A correctly fitted bridge width enhances comfort and positioning. A smaller bridge keeps lenses farther from the face, while a wider bridge brings them closer, providing a secure and balanced fit based on your facial structure.
